I wrote you a poem.

Hi friend,

I wrote you a poem.

How to be a Smashing Success

i.
Make a thing.
Anything.
Pluck a fleeting thought and
Shape it
Mold it
Craft it
Write it
Form it into a noun that
Another human
Any human
Can verb.

ii.
Launch it into the world.
Somewhere, anywhere
Others can find it.
Communicate it into existence.
Pitch it into the void.
Just get it out and
Flying and free
And then sit
And breathe.

iii.
Accept what comes back
From where it is caught.
From the human that
Recognizes your genius.
If that is your mother
Or roommate or lover
Or stranger
A ripple or a wave
Returns.
Now take that
And make another thing.

Action leads to success

What is the thing you seek to create? What is hiding in your metaphorical desk drawer? What is lurking on your cloud drive or in a desktop folder that wants to see the light of day?

Let it out and give it some air. Read it over, edit a sentence, touch up a corner. Give it a final polish.

Now put it out there. Submit it. Post it. Send it. Share it. Someone needs this thing out in the wild. Even if it is just you.

My informed intuition tells me "someone" is far more than just you.
