The Missing Skill in Leadership: Trusting Your Intuition
Fast thinking, slow decisions, better leadership: three practical ways to sharpen your intuition and make better business moves
Inside: 3 short videos + practical ways to build trust in your intuition + a FREE workbook!
Earlier this week, I sat down with Noa Ries, co-founder of Kahilla, for a conversation about intuition in leadership. This discussion was so energizing. There’s nothing I love more than talking about Intuition Strategy® with someone who is genuinely interested and curious.
We covered a lot of ground: the science of decision-making, how to recognize intuitive insight, and how I teach leaders to build trust in their own inner voice. What struck me most is how we kept coming back to the fact that so many of us already feel our intuition but don’t always know what to do with it.
Read on for three moments from that conversation that I want to share with you, plus a new workbook to apply these practices.
1. How to Use Your Intuition in Tough Decisions (9 min video)
We kicked off with the research: Daniel Kahneman’s work on fast and slow thinking. Your intuition is fast. It reacts. The strategy is how we slow it down.
That’s where the VIEW Framework comes in. It helps you pause long enough to understand what your gut is trying to say and inventory the data it is pulling from. We talked about big decisions, like pulling the plug on a project, and how to decode the intuitive signals that show up before your brain catches up.
Intuition Strategy® is our edge for capturing the power of fast thinking with the focus and results of slow thinking.

2. How to Strengthen Your Intuition
(4 min video)
Next, we flipped the Trust Equation inward. If you want to trust your gut, you need to build credibility, reliability and intimacy with your intuition.
Yes, intuition can be developed. By being aware of how trust is built and intentionally taking the steps to strengthen your intuition, you can develop your own intuition superpower.
3. Using Your Intuition for Business Decisions
(2 min video)
Finally, we talked about the how. Journaling. Voice memos. Stream-of-consciousness reflection. Making space to hear what’s underneath the logical analysis. Then using the VIEW Framework to move from insight to action and then results.
Business strategy isn’t always linear. Sometimes your clearest answers come when you slow down enough to hear yourself think.
What I hope you’ll take from this:
You don’t need to choose between logic and intuition. The best decisions are made when both are in conversation.
So ask yourself:
Where is your intuition nudging you right now?
Are you making space to listen?
What would it look like to trust your gut on purpose?
Let me know what you learn from these clips and if you find the VIEW Framework Workbook helpful. Is this something you’d like to see more of in The Intuition Strategist?
