Year Two: What I’ve Unlearned, Built, and Become
A graduation speech from my second Independence Day
Two years ago, I left corporate life with no roadmap. No new job. No next title.
Just a deep knowing that something else was possible—and the courage to find out what.
I called it my Independence Day.
Last year, I marked the one-year milestone with a written reflection here on Substack. It was the first time I fully owned the idea that I wasn’t just leaving something behind. I was becoming someone new.
This year, I recorded a podcast.
In this solo episode of The Intuition Strategist, I reflect on what has changed in year two: what I’ve unlearned, what I’ve created, and who I’ve become. It’s my version of a graduation speech — offered in my own voice, shaped by two years of reinvention, and grounded in intuition, strategy, and clarity.
In the episode, I share:
The real-life MBA I’ve given myself
The mindsets I’ve had to unlearn (urgency, control, perfection, permission)
How Corporate Tarot Cards® and the VIEW Framework grew from lived experience
What changed when I started writing — and speaking — in my own voice
Why community and curiosity became the engine for everything
How “both and” thinking reshaped my identity and work
If you’re navigating your own turning point, or building something new, I hope this reflection helps you pause, connect, and trust your own process.
